About Ross Blake, The Employee Retention Manager

Ross Blake, “The Employee Retention Manager,” shows small to mid-size employers and business owners how to retain more of their good and best employees and new hires, and how to save thousands of dollars by reducing employee turnover.

In 1982, Ross Blake Associates, Inc., started helping clients develop more effective supervisors, managers, and executives with team building, management development, conflict resolution, and leadership skills; we also conducted executive coaching.

Ross has completed hundreds of training and consulting assignments for manufacturers and service organizations, and several Fortune 500 clients, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Carrier Corporation, and Corning Incorporated.

Realizing that good organizations were losing good employees for many reasons which could be corrected by improved communication skills and retention strategies, Ross added capabilities and services to benefit small to mid-size employers and business owners and their HR professionals.

He has researched and developed a number of articles and tools on how to improve retention and reduce turnover, has spoken before many human relations and business groups, and was the keynote speaker at the annual meeting of an international talent management and consulting firm last year.

Ross has served as a program development and membership officer in several training and HR associations, and is a graduate of Ohio University.

When he’s not working with clients, you’ll find him enjoying the performing arts programs at Chautauqua, the world famous performing arts center in Western New York, or planning another international trip; he notes that people are much more alike than they are different all over the world.
